How dark horses were compiled...
To make this list of horses to follow I have searched all
horses that have run over the jumps this year. Some of these
horses will not immediately spring to mind and others maybe more
familiar. I do not believe in just listing the top rated horses
as you will already be fully aware of them.
The aim is to highlight horses not generally thought of as
reliable betting material. This way we can have our list of
horses that have the potential to win a race or two and at the
same time hopefully get a better price and return for our money.
By looking through the form of each horse for those that have
either slipped down the handicap or where there have been
excuses. Such as running over an inadequate distance, racing on
ground which is too soft or firm.
It could be these jumpers had climbed the handicap to a point
where it had become difficult to win a race with them. In this
case the options are switch to chase races and hope for the best
or keep racing until their rating drops to a favourably mark.
Either way these horses to follow should give you something
to lookout for over the coming months and should yield a few
decent priced winners.
