Handicap Chase System is a very simple system that can be worked with any newspaper and covers most handicap chases concentrating on the better horses in a race that have recent winning form.

Pick out all the days' handicap chases with the exception of novice races.

Go through each of the races in turn and look for the horses that have won in the last 28 days over the distance of the race it is running in now (give or take a furlong either way) that are carrying 11 stone or more.

If there is more than one that qualifies then ignore the race.
