Knowing which trainer or jockey is top rated with any of our ratings can easily be seen at a glance using the online or printable form guide, but this is only half the battle against the bookmaker.

What we really need to know is which of the trainers and jockeys actually win when they are top rated, get this information and we can quickly dismiss a number of top rated runners. This is something a number of you have asked for and is now  available from within the tissue prices software.

We can see from the image below that the jockey Ted Duncan has ridden 313 horses that where top rated with our combined ratings and won 89 of those races which is a strike rate of over 28% giving a R.O.I. of 16%. The jockey Silvestre De Sousa is even more impressive with over 27% R.O.I. and these results are not just from a hand full of rides.

We could use this information the other way and turn things upside down and lay the poor performing jockeys or trainers. In the image below we can see that Steve Drowne only has a strike rate of about 12%, the average for a runner that is top rated with our combined ratings is approximately 19%.

Backing any of Steve Drowne’s mounts that have been top rated with our combined ratings would of lost the backer 33% of his or her stake. These top rated results are now found on a new tab which has been added to our Tissue Prices Software.
