RACECOURSE FORM

Looks a shade below average for this race based on the course specialists area results and I think that is how we will describe this runner, sub standard.

WINNING ZONE

This runner is one of the many which we find in races in that it has an average sort of mark for the trainer and jockey winning zone and in this particular case both James McDonald and Robert Cowell hold a very average position.

HEAD TO HEADS

Not one of the best runners in the race when it comes to the head to head records for trainer and jockey as Robert Cowell is in the poor bucket and jockey is only average so the combined score would be below standard here.

CONCLUSION

Overall no problem with the horse rating itself for this runner from the Robert Cowell stable and with a good mark in the course specials area this would be classed as one of the chief candidates here.

RACECOURSE FORM

Not one of the better results in the course specialists area with trainer and jockey both having a low score and therefore we will say for this event it is below average.

WINNING ZONE

You may not agree with the ridder of this runner after viewing the winning zone results because W J Lee is not in the correct area and it gets to look even more inferior as the trainers the same so clear below average here.

HEAD TO HEADS

Some of you will use the head to head area of the form guide and if you are one of these then no doubt you will of noticed that both trainer and the jockey of this runner both have above average sort of mark here for this event.

CONCLUSION

If you like the look of this runner than why not take a chance after all Sunday Sovereign (GB) is in the top section of the ratings and the dam has done very well in the course specialists area of the form guide so nice choice.

RACECOURSE FORM

It appears to me that there are a number of marks in the course specialists area which are above average but as they are only just I will say keep this runner as just average.

WINNING ZONE

Right lets now take a look at both the trainer and jockey and see whether they lie in the winning zone and for this runner the answer is yes but still not a high enough position for me and we will say just average.

HEAD TO HEADS

This runner does appear to have an excellent chance based on the head to head section for jockeys and trainers in this race and here we find that Ryan Moore who is the jockey and A P O'Brien the trainer both have above average marks.

CONCLUSION

A runner which has a lot of marks around the middle and is not really what we are after here and I would say because of this and an average form rating that we should consider giving this one the swerve.

RACECOURSE FORM

One of the runners who has the correct ratings in the course specialists area and with the trainer being top notch this one is an above average type for this event.

WINNING ZONE

The winning zone section of the form guide looks to be very poor for this Simon Crisford trained runner as not only have they missed the area but todays ridder appears to be the same so can only say below average.

HEAD TO HEADS

Some runners will score better than others in different areas and this one does do very well in the head to head zone and where usually one is above average in the case of this runner we have both Frankie Dettori and Simon Crisford with top marks.

CONCLUSION

The overall view would not be great for this Simon Crisford trained runner as the jockey did not do that well in the course specialists area and form rating is nothing to write home about and just another runner here.

RACECOURSE FORM

In the course specialists area both the dam and sire are poor but others are ok so one of those borderline runner which I will place in the below average container.

WINNING ZONE

This is not the best looking area for this runner as Jamie Spencer todays jockey is not in their winning zone and to make matters worst the trainer is the same so very easy to describe this one as below average.

HEAD TO HEADS

The next area for this runner is to take a look at the head to head records for both trainer and jockey in this race and both appear to be very much the same in that they are not good or bad but very much in the middle.

CONCLUSION

Does appear to have what it would take to win here with a very good form rating to its name and the horse is in a high position in the course specialists area as well so one of the main group here I would of thought.

87

  King Neptune (USA)

RACECOURSE FORM

Most of the marks for this runner as far as the course specialists results are concerned are excellent and this only fly in the ointment would be for the dam.

WINNING ZONE

Generally the winning zone for this runner appears to be below average as the jockey is not in their and trainer only appears to be in a central position but maybe we could very well say overall middle of the road contender here.

HEAD TO HEADS

We have a runner here which has the fortune of have some very good head to head results for both the trainer A P O'Brien and also jockey Donnacha O'Brien so this section of the form guide appears to highlight this one as above average.

CONCLUSION

A bit more maybe required for this runner to succeed here but with a trainer that is just in a winning zone it maybe possible but the overall form rating still seems a bit to far below the top level here for this event.

RACECOURSE FORM

A middling score for this runner in the course specialists area, in fact all the results here are in the centre so this runner can be easily classed as standard.

WINNING ZONE

This next area we are looking at appears poor for both trainer and jockey and it?s the fact that each of them have failed to find the winning zone so another one which goes down as below average for this event.

HEAD TO HEADS

One of the areas which is not too good for this contender is the head to head section found in the form guide as not only is the trainer middling but the jockey also appears to be the same, so bit of an average Joe type score here.

CONCLUSION

This runner does not do that well in the course specialists area or at least where the horse itself is concerned and the form guide rating is the same so overall this one would only seem to have an average chance.

85

  313 Misty Grey (IRE)

2yo Chestnut Colt out of the sire Dark Angel (IRE) and dam Chinese White (IRE) and will come out of stall 14

RACECOURSE FORM

Trainer scores well as does the jockey in the course specialists area and this is slightly let down by the horse but otherwise it will be classed as above average.

WINNING ZONE

Mark Johnston is the trainer of this one and is said to be in their winning zone which is the same sort of story for the jockey but while they are both there is would not be classed as the upper most position so overall we say average.

HEAD TO HEADS

The head to heads area of the form guide will inform us that this runner does not have an advantage at lest not in this zone as both trainer and jockey seem to be a very much middling and there will better runners to be found.

CONCLUSION

Overall this runner seems to be hanging around in the middle and one example is in the course specialists area when the sire is very much average and that is the same for the rating, so does not look up to winning here.

39

  Air Force Jet (GB)

2yo Bay Colt out of the sire Charm Spirit (IRE) and dam Wind Fire (USA) and will come out of stall 8

RACECOURSE FORM

This is a very good looking runner as far as the course specialists area results are concerned and only the horse lets this down a little with a poor mark but still on the whole above average.

WINNING ZONE

The form guide winning zone is next up and the trainer has missed it altogether so we can forget about Joseph Patrick O'Brien here but the jockey would be seen as ok, overall I feel we should class this runner rather average here.

HEAD TO HEADS

Next up we are viewing how the head to head results look for this runner and it appears to be above average as the jockey has a high score and the trainer Joseph Patrick O'Brien while not top but more middling would be ok, so I think above average.

CONCLUSION

This runner who is trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien appears to be just making up the numbers here with a below average form rating and the course specialists area for this one was not that good so I think mid field at best.

1

  Real Appeal (GER)

2yo Bay Colt out of the sire Sidestep (AUS) and dam Runaway Sparkle (GB) and will come out of stall 12

RACECOURSE FORM

There are some very good results to be seen as far as the course specialists area is concerned and only the jockey looks poor so this runner will have to be placed in the above average category.

WINNING ZONE

With todays trainer Matthieu Palussiere being out of their winning zone its not a good start and gets worst when we realise that the jockey is the same and all this means another below average type for this event.

HEAD TO HEADS

When looking at the head to head for the jockey and trainer we see in this case that the result is very much on the poor side as both parties are below average and therefore we can only say overall its a below average mark here.

CONCLUSION

Do not really think that we can add this Matthieu Palussiere runner to our short list as it has a poor form rating and jockey was not up to much in the course specialists area so one which will most likely finish nearer last than first.

2

  Maven (USA)

2yo Chestnut Colt out of the sire American Pharoah (USA) and dam Richies Party Girl (USA) and will come out of stall 5

Trainer
Wesley A Ward

Jockey
Tyler Gaffalione (0)

Weight
09-01

Headgear

RACECOURSE FORM

Runner does well in the course specialists area and apart from the sire and dam results all the others are above average so one of the best runners in this race.

WINNING ZONE

Would not really be expecting to much help from the saddle here for this runner as Tyler Gaffalione is not in their winning and it gets to look a bit more nasty as the trainer is in the same boat so below average here.

HEAD TO HEADS

In the head to head area of the form guide there will good and bad results and this runner would appear to be one of the wicked ones as not only is the trainer below average but so is the jockey and I think it goes without saying overall it will rank as below average.

CONCLUSION

With a poor mark for the trainer in the course specialists area and the horse rating not being much better this should not be one of the runners that we should be considering here for this race event at ASCOT.

84

  1 Emten (IRE)

2yo Bay Filly out of the sire Bungle Inthejungle (GB) and dam Lucky Leigh (GB) and will come out of stall 15

RACECOURSE FORM

This runner is slightly above average when it comes to the course specialists area but I think we maybe better off just classing it as average for this race.

WINNING ZONE

The winning zone section of the form guide looks to be very poor for this Jamie Osborne trained runner as not only have they missed the area but todays ridder appears to be the same so can only say below average.

HEAD TO HEADS

Lets start with this runners jockey and their head to head record against others and I can tell you it is not that good but poor and the fact the trainer does not excel enough means we will place this one in the below average bin.

CONCLUSION

Do not really think that we can add this Jamie Osborne runner to our short list as it has a poor form rating and jockey was not up to much in the course specialists area so one which will most likely finish nearer last than first.

89

  10 Firepower (FR)

RACECOURSE FORM

This runner has quite an even spread of results in the course specialists area and because of this it will nicely go into the middling or average group if you like.

WINNING ZONE

By looking at the trainer and jockey we see Clive Cox who is the trainer is in their winning zone and it will be seen to be as a similar thing with todays jockey but we can still only use the word average or standard here.

HEAD TO HEADS

Head to heads now and we will start with the jockey who looks a bit on the average side for this event but the trainer Clive Cox does seem at lot better so in the case of this one we would see it as above average.

CONCLUSION

Another runner here who would be considered a top contender in this event with a good form rating along with the top class trainer head to head record against others in the event which is being held here today.

90

  13 Strive For Glory (USA)

2yo Bay Colt out of the sire Dialed In (USA) and dam Chu And You (USA) and will come out of stall 4

RACECOURSE FORM

This is not a runner which is above average nor is it below but one of those that we will place in the average pot as far as results for the course specialist area is concerned.

WINNING ZONE

By looking at the trainer and jockey we see Robert Cowell who is the trainer is in their winning zone and it will be seen to be as a similar thing with todays jockey but we can still only use the word average or standard here.

HEAD TO HEADS

A not so favourable set of results for the head to head area for this runner is what we have here with both the trainer and jockey finding themselves near the bottom of their respected list so mark down as below average for this race.

CONCLUSION

On a final note and summing up this runner is in the top part of the ratings list and looks very good and the fact the jockey did so well in the course specialists is a bonus to us here for this racing event today.

91

  1 Expressionist (IRE)

2yo Chestnut Colt out of the sire Night Of Thunder (IRE) and dam Permission Slip (IRE) and will come out of stall 6

Trainer
Charlie Appleby

Jockey
James Doyle (0)

09-01

Headgear
No Headgear

RACECOURSE FORM

Sometimes we get a very bad set of results when looking at the course specialists area and this would certainly be one of them with a poor score for horse, trainer, dam and sire so below average here.

WINNING ZONE

Having both James Doyle the jockey and trainer in their winning zone is good but ideally we would like to see them both in a slightly better position which we don?t have so will have class this runner as average here.

HEAD TO HEADS

This runner does appear to have an excellent chance based on the head to head section for jockeys and trainers in this race and here we find that James Doyle who is the jockey and Charlie Appleby the trainer both have above average marks.

CONCLUSION

The overall form ratings for Expressionist (IRE) appear to be above average and with some good head to head results for this Charlie Appleby trained runner looks to be one we should consider for this event here.
