The colour coded buttons which are displayed for each runner relates to a different area of the form guide with extra information available and while the buttons show the correct colour green (above average), amber (average) and red (below average) the clicking of these will merely take you to the associated help file, brief description of each of these is found below.

Horse FormThis area displays the previous races in which the runner took part and can be useful when deciding on whether todays racing event will suit a runner and the button in this example is green which means above average.

Racecourse FormThis is the course form area and there are five gauges which display the form for horse, sire, dam, trainer and jockey, as with other areas its colour coded and the button in this example is green which means above average.

Trainer Head To HeadsThe head to head section of the form guide lets the user compare one trainer against another in a race and the result is expressed as a percent of the time our chosen jockey will finishing in front of the compared trainer.and the button in this example is green which means average.

The jockey and trainer winning zone lets the user know when they are most likely to get a winner and keeping an eye out for these types of runner which has either the jockey, trainer or both in their winning zone can pay dividends and the button in this example is red which means jockey and trainer are not in their winning zone.

RACECOURSE FORM

One of the runners which comes along every so often and has top class results in the course specialists area and only the sire has an average so of mark.

WINNING ZONE

Right lets now take a look at both the trainer and jockey and see whether they lie in the winning zone and for this runner the answer is yes but still not a high enough position for me and we will say just average.

HEAD TO HEADS

Jockey today is Raul Da Silva who as far as the head to head records are concerned is ok but not great but when we move onto the trainer things start to go a bit pear shaped as Milton Bradley lines up near the bottom of the list, so lets say below average for the both of them.

CONCLUSION

Would not normally recommend a runner which has a lot of very middling marks but in this case it could very well be worth an each way as the sire was not overly bad in the course specialists area of the guide.

RACECOURSE FORM

This runner was not that far off qulifing as above average in the course specialists area but does just fair which means we will use the word typical when describing this runner.

WINNING ZONE

This runner was very easy to assess in the trainer and jockey winning zone because of the fact that both could not find a way into the area and therefore we must mark this one as a below average candidate here for this event.

HEAD TO HEADS

Todays trainer and jockey both have some very interesting results in the head to head segment of the form guide as we not only find that Sebastian Woods is above average but also ###TRAINER the trainer also holds an excellent position as well, so very good here.

CONCLUSION

A runner who would be classed as a live contender based on its rating which is near the top end and we also see the horse itself did well in the course specialists area so as I said Wotadoll (GB) worth challenger here.

RACECOURSE FORM

This runner has a very good set of results for the course specialists area, in fact most of the marks are excellent with just the one exception being the jockey

WINNING ZONE

The winning zone is not the best area of the form guide for this runner as we find both the jockey Harry Bentley and trainer appear to be outside of their correct area so we have no option here but to say below average.

HEAD TO HEADS

Next up we are viewing how the head to head results look for this runner and it appears to be above average as the jockey has a high score and the trainer David Evans while not top but more middling would be ok, so I think above average.

CONCLUSION

A runner who would be classed as a live contender based on its rating which is near the top end and we also see the horse itself did well in the course specialists area so as I said Harry Beau (GB) worth challenger here.

RACECOURSE FORM

Ranked fairly well in the course specialists area this one but not quite good enough to be classed as above average and I would say we are better off calling it average.

WINNING ZONE

Winning zone in the form guide has Ronald Harris the trainer out of their area and when we look at the jockey it?s the same story so there is not that much we can say apart form the words below average.

HEAD TO HEADS

This runner does appear to have an excellent chance based on the head to head section for jockeys and trainers in this race and here we find that David Probert who is the jockey and Ronald Harris the trainer both have above average marks.

CONCLUSION

Overall this runner from the Ronald Harris is worth considering as the trainer did do well in the course specialists area and the horse form rating was at the right end of the list so one for the short list.

  000032 Tawaafoq (GB)

RACECOURSE FORM

A runner who has a course specialists area score which seems very poor with horse, trainer and sire in a bad place so only thing we can say is below average here.

WINNING ZONE

The stable responsible for this runner is Adrian Wintle and they are not in their winning zone and joining them in the same boat is the jockey which makes me think below average is the only way to describe this one.

HEAD TO HEADS

One of the areas where we find that this runner does well is in the head to head section of the form guide and it is the jockey Hollie Doyle who is above average which bumps up the score, trainer more average but together we will say above standard.

CONCLUSION

Would not put anyone off this runner as the ratings look very good and if we add in the results from the jockey head to head sector of the form guide then this would be classed as one of the leading competitors here.

RACECOURSE FORM

A number of poor marks can be found in the course specialists area for this runner which we have no option but to call it below average at least in this zone.

WINNING ZONE

The winning zone section of the form guide looks to be very poor for this Christopher Mason trained runner as not only have they missed the area but todays ridder appears to be the same so can only say below average.

HEAD TO HEADS

A number of things we can look at when assessing a runner and one of them is the trainer and jockey head to heads and with this runner there are no problems with the trainer jockey does appear poor so lets go down the middle and say average.

CONCLUSION

The trainer of this one Christopher Mason did not do that well in the course specialists area and with a form rating to match this runner would be classed as a bit of padding for this event here today at BATH.

RACECOURSE FORM

Another runner with a very mixed bag of results in the course specialists area with both the jockey and horse on the side of good but others are poor so I think with this runner it looks below average.

WINNING ZONE

In this area we see that todays trainer is not in their winning zone and while that is not enough to say the runner is poor but when we then see the jockey the same we can only possible say below average.

HEAD TO HEADS

Not a bad runner judged on its record in the head to head section of the form guide but then again on the other hand it is not that good as both the trainer and jockey appear to be very much in the middle which in a word means average.

CONCLUSION

Would not normally recommend a runner which has a lot of very middling marks but in this case it could very well be worth an each way as the sire was not overly bad in the course specialists area of the guide.

RACECOURSE FORM

Trainer is the one who does best of all in the course specialists area but some of the other marks are not quite so good so more of a runner which goes into the steady flask.

WINNING ZONE

First thing we notice in the winning zone is that the trainer is not in it so a poor start in this area but al least we have Finley Marsh the jockey is ok and in this case average would be the word I would use here.

HEAD TO HEADS

We now take a look at the trainer and jockey to see how there get on in the head to head department and while the jockey Finley Marsh is ok the trainer does rather fall into the poor area so has to be below average for this zone.

CONCLUSION

Overall this runner seems to be hanging around in the middle and one example is in the course specialists area when the sire is very much average and that is the same for the rating, so does not look up to winning here.

18

  130030 Amberine (GB)

RACECOURSE FORM

A nice sort of runner this one based on the results for the course specialists area jockey, trainer and dam are all above average and the horse and sire are ok.

WINNING ZONE

This runner does not score well in the winning zone as not only does the jockey fail to land in it but the trainer also misses out as well which basically means we have to view this runner as poor of below average here.

HEAD TO HEADS

There is not that much good news attached to this runner after viewing the head to head area for this runner as it turns out both the trainer and jockey are poor in this zone so best to mark it down as below average.

CONCLUSION

The overall view for this runner is course specialists for the horse itself was not great and the form rating is very average so would not of thought this Malcolm Saunders trained contender will be on many short lists.

13

  102100 Papa Delta (GB)

RACECOURSE FORM

There are some very good results to be seen as far as the course specialists area is concerned and only the jockey looks poor so this runner will have to be placed in the above average category.

WINNING ZONE

This next area we are looking at appears poor for both trainer and jockey and it?s the fact that each of them have failed to find the winning zone so another one which goes down as below average for this event.

HEAD TO HEADS

Does not really have what it takes in the head to head area to take this race with a very low mark for the jockey and the fact that the trainer is not much better means we can only really describe this one as a below average competitor.

CONCLUSION

The overall form for this runner was a bit let down by a poor mark in the course specialists area and it was the jockey at fault and with a below adequate form rating this Tony Carroll trained runner will not be good enough.

1

  003300 Chop Chop (IRE)

3yo Bay Filly out of the sire Rip Van Winkle (IRE) and dam Mince (GB) and will come out of stall 4

Trainer
Brian Barr

Jockey

RACECOURSE FORM

Average is the word I would use when describing this runners course specialists as while some are very good the others are poor so seems to be a very mixed bag.

WINNING ZONE

After looking at the winning zone for both trainer and jockey there appears to be no problem and I would say that with this runner we are looking at an above average result here for this event taking place here today.

HEAD TO HEADS

Both ###JOACKEY### the jockey and Brian Barr have a middling sort of mark in the head to head section of the form guide so no advantage with this runner and it maybe better to look elsewhere.

CONCLUSION

With a poor mark for the trainer in the course specialists area and the horse rating not being much better this should not be one of the runners that we should be considering here for this race event at BATH.

4

  300000 Spring Holly (IRE)

RACECOURSE FORM

In the course specialists area we have trainer, dam and sire all above average, the horse does have a poor score but overall we will class it as an above average runner.

WINNING ZONE

Winning zone for trainer and also todays jockey are very much the same and while both are in the area it would be classed as a more central position and not at the top so overall we say average here for this one.

HEAD TO HEADS

This runner does not appear to be the one we are after if the head to head results are anything to go by because todays jockey Jimmy Quinn has a poor record against others in the race and the trainer is the same so below average in this area.

CONCLUSION

Appears to me that the overall form of this runner from the Milton Bradley yard is a little on the poor side and does not seem to have what it would take to win this race taking place here at BATH.

12

  000300 Grandstand (IRE)

RACECOURSE FORM

Looks a very poor runner after viewing the results for the course specialists area with trainer, dam and sire all having a low grade mark so one for the below average basket.

WINNING ZONE

So moving on with this runner and while its ok in the trainer and jockey winning zone area of the form guide I would ideally of preferred a better place for the both of them so will have to class this one a average here.

HEAD TO HEADS

This runner has a rather poor mark when it comes to the head to head results and the main cause of the mutilation here was by the trainer who has a poor record against others in the race, jockey is ok but the overall mark would still be seen as below average.

CONCLUSION

Looking at the overall form for Grandstand (IRE) and its chance of success here today at BATH would appear to be miserable and there will certainly be others better suited for this race.

7

  201000 Toolatetodelegate (GB)

5yo Bay Mare out of the sire Delegator (GB) and dam Little Caroline (IRE) and will come out of stall 8

Trainer
Brian Barr

Jockey
Trevor Whelan (0)

Weight
09-00

Headgear

RACECOURSE FORM

Looks a good choice based on the course specialists area results with high marks for the sire and jockey so a runner which would said to be above average.

WINNING ZONE

One of the poor runners in this event due to both Brian Barr the trainer and the jockey Trevor Whelan being both outside of their winning zone and you may of anticipated better but no its certainly below average here.

HEAD TO HEADS

Trainer does not do that badly in the head to head area but the fact that todays jockey has performed badly against others in this race means that we will have to mark it down and use the words below standard.

CONCLUSION

This runner who is trained by Brian Barr appears to be just making up the numbers here with a below average form rating and the course specialists area for this one was not that good so I think mid field at best.

31

  002001 Red Tycoon (IRE)

7yo Bay Gelding out of the sire Acclamation (GB) and dam Rugged Up (IRE) and will come out of stall 15

Trainer
Ken Cunningham-Brown

Jockey
Hector Crouch (0)

RACECOURSE FORM

Very centre line this runner looks after viewing the course specialists area results with the only poor mark being for the dam but think it should be seen as more below average.

WINNING ZONE

When we look at the winning zone for both trainer and jockey of todays runner we see that they are equally the same, so in the zone but rather centre line so overall here we have to say average contender.

HEAD TO HEADS

This next section of the form guide that we are going to be looking at is the head to head results for both trainer and jockey and for this particular runner we can see Hector Crouch and Ken Cunningham-Brown both appear to be above average here.

CONCLUSION

So form finished with and overall looks a very good runner being in the top section of the ratings and the horse itself has also done well in the course specialists area which I think is enough for it to be considered for this event.

30

  000202 Cauthen (IRE)

3yo Bay Gelding out of the sire Dandy Man (IRE) and dam Chellalla (GB) and will come out of stall 16

RACECOURSE FORM

A runner here that does not get good marks in the course specialists area but at the same time there not that bad so we will be adding a tag marked typical.

WINNING ZONE

There was no reason to spend that much time looking at the trainer and jockey winning zone section of the form guide because both of them are nowhere near it so very easy to say below average here for this event.

HEAD TO HEADS

The head to head results can be very informative in that it lets us know who will finish in front of who and the results for this runner look to be excellent and not just for the jockey but also todays trainer which is Ken Cunningham-Brown so top marks here.

CONCLUSION

On a final note and summing up this runner is in the top part of the ratings list and looks very good and the fact the jockey did so well in the course specialists is a bonus to us here for this racing event today.
